Mike is the Managing Partner at WP Investments and oversees all operations. After joining the firm in 1993, he has grown the company into a fully diversified real estate development, investment and property management company which specializes in commercial, industrial, retail, office and mixed-use assets. In 2020, the company earned the distinction of being ranked by Silicon Valley Business Journal as one of the Top 25 Commercial Property Owners and Property Management Firms in the Bay Area.
Prior to joining WP Investments, Mike worked for Investment Building Group, a Los Angeles based industrial development firm managing the Northern California office. While at IBG, Mike developed 1 million square feet of industrial product. Between 2014 and 2015, he served as the President of NAIOP, Silicon Valley Chapter.
Mike graduated from Stanford Graduate School of Business with an MBA and from University of Washington with a BS in Mechanical Engineering.
Connie joined WP Investments in 2005 and she leads the property management activities for the company’s 2 million square feet of industrial, office and retail assets in the Bay Area. With over 30 years in the commercial real estate industry, Connie brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise in all areas of property management, and she excels in developing and maintaining strong positive relationships with all tenants, brokers, contractors and vendors. In addition, Connie handles the coordination and supervision of all property and building repairs or improvements, prepares specification packages for obtaining competitive bids on jobs, negotiates all service contracts, prepares vacant spaces for marketing, coordinates tours of buildings with prospective tenants and brokers, conducts regular inspections of all properties, prepares annual property budgets and monthly reports for the property owners.
Prior to joining WPI, Connie worked for nearly 17 years as a Project Director with Spieker Properties, where she was responsible for all property management and leasing activities for approximately 1.2 million square feet of office and industrial buildings located in the South Bay. During her years with Spieker Properties, Connie received numerous company awards in recognition of her superior performance in leasing, tenant relations and service excellence.
Shane is a Partner at WP Investments and leads the acquisition and development activities, which consists of deal sourcing, underwriting and project management. He co-manages the daily property management functions of the company and works closely with Mr. Schonenberg to update and administer the company’s strategic business plan. Additionally, Shane and the WPI Principals work closely together to maintain the company’s long-term relationships with brokers, investors, key stakeholders, business partners, contractors, and governmental organizations in order to position the company in the future.
Prior to joining WPI, Shane was a real estate developer and advisor with two decades of planning, design, development, construction and deal execution expertise which has resulted in 2 million square feet of new or re-positioned real estate.
Earlier in Shane’s career, he worked as a Supervisor at the international accounting firm of Ernst & Young in Financial/Operational Audit in New York City and before joining EY he was at Deloitte. He graduated from Brigham Young University with a BS in Accounting and Information Systems, and after leaving EY he completed the Certificate Program in Real Estate from New York University.
As Controller at WP Investments, Diep oversees the day-to-day operations of accounting and lease administration, and is responsible for the financial reporting, cash management, budgeting & forecasting, and investor reporting in relation to the Company’s real estate assets and Corporate entity. Diep manages the implementation and documentation of accounting policies & procedures and created a roadmap and blueprint of internal controls for the organization. In addition to working and liaising with an external accounting firm on all aspects of year-end planning and tax return preparations, Diep also administers Payroll and HR functions including retirement plans and benefits programs for the company’s employees.
Before joining the WPI team in 2000, Diep was a Senior Accountant at DivcoWest Group, LLC where she managed the accounting and financial reporting for several projects totaling more than one million square feet of Class A commercial properties within the western United States. Diep holds a BS in Business Administration and emphasis in Accounting from Notre Dame de Namur University, and is a member of Delta Mu Delta National Business Honors Society.
A.J. joined WP Investments in 2020. As Project Manager he analyzes potential acquisitions, sales and leases, preparing financial analysis and conducting due diligence. Additionally, he manages the current assets of WP Investments, including coordinating property and tenant improvement projects.
Prior to joining WP Investments, A.J. worked as an Oil Field Engineer for Schlumberger. Based in Saudi Arabia and then Louisiana, he worked in the surface well testing group in a variety of countries in both land and offshore locations.
He graduated from Cornell University with a MEng in Operations Research, a BS in Chemical Engineering, and a minor in Business.
Ashley joined WP Investments in 2017. As the Office Manager, she organizes and coordinates office administration and procedures in order to ensure organizational effectiveness, efficiency and safety. Additionally, she coordinates leasing agreements, amendments, project assignments and tenant billing/payments. Ashley also develops intra-office communication protocols, streamlining administrative procedures and inventory control. She assists with team building initiates and overall support of WPI culture and employee morale.
Prior to joining WPI, Ashley worked at Wells Fargo as a Merchant Transaction Specialist receiving and reconciling deposits, cash and statements for local businesses. Additionally, she accurately documented, researched and resolved Merchant issues, questions and concerns.
